How do I make an appointment?

Medicinal Cannabis Clinics are run once a month on a Saturday. You can make your appointment by going to our online booking page, through HotDoc or by calling the practice on 02 9550 6201. Appointments are only open for those 18 years and over.

What should I expect at this appointment?

At your initial appointment your doctor will undertake a thorough investigation to discuss your medical history and assess your suitability for medicinal cannabis. This appointment will take about 45 minutes with a cost of $350. Please note that these appointments are private billing.

**PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THIS APPOINTMENT DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOU WILL GET A PRESCRIPTION.**

If your doctor has deemed medicinal cannabis appropriate for you, they will then make an application to the Therapeutic Goods Association for approval which could take up to a few weeks.

After authority has been received you will be given your prescription and can begin treatment under the supervision of your doctor. You can obtain your prescription oil from a pharmacy near you that dispenses the medicinal cannabis oil. Medicinal cannabis oil is not covered by the PBS and will be at extra cost at the pharmacy.

You will need to come in for regular follow up appointments to assess any possible side effects and effectiveness of your treatment. Follow up consultation will be between 15-30 minutes at a cost of $85 and $160 respectively.
